ok, a little rant and some rambling....LOL!

Here is a safety tip more for the advanced, but newbies listen up... Be very careful about adding other peoples links to your site. i.e. a blogroll, favorites, or whatever... To some people it just doesn't matter if you are giving them free exposure or not and to be fair I probably would want to know why or how my link got on someone else's page too. An easy way to solve this: GET PERMISSION! Shoot them an e-mail, or communicate to them someway or another that you wish to add their "SIMILAR CONTENT" page link to your site. Why would you sell womens clothes and want someone with a golfing site to put their links on your page? (no pun intended on the 'links'). It's just not practical! Let them check out your site and let them make the final decision, and don't get your feelings hurt if they say no. Build a positive relationship with these people and maybe they'll put YOUR link on their page as well and then from there who knows...............WOW!!

Affiliate marketing...what flavor do you like the most?

Most will agree that there are a lot more than just 32 flavors when it comes to affiliate/internet marketing, but when it all comes down to it, what do you REALLY get for your money? Let me break it down like this: 1: NOT ALL affiliate marketing is created equally. Because of the way it is handled, it can be as simple as promoting a website, or more complex such as trying to sell someone else's products. i.e. you can be an Amazon affiliate and earn a handful of pocket change for selling their stuff. The list goes on.... 2: The Internet is just like a Brick and Mortar store front with it's variety of products and services for sell, but much like a Storefront you are NOT going to sample all the different brands of bread or pickles. You're probably not even going to try on those new jeans, but they look good so you buy them anyway. Internet marketing and affiliate marketing are just like this. 3: READ MY OTHER POSTS!!!! Do the homework and read the reviews about the prod

mini-sites

Ok, i'm going to stay off the soap box today and talk about something that looks to be a good prospect and I've noticed a lot of marketers are using this. It's an idea that by itself is fine but in reality is just one part of a bigger picture that is still being painted. I'm talking about Mini-sites. They are just like regular websites, but they are only a few pages and they are SEO (search engine optimized). They have a squeeze page, maybe a product page, and an order/redirect page. They are simple to setup, search engines love them, and you can setup several of them really fast. Here a really good site that has a LOT of free advice on Mini-sites, their design, and monetization. http://www.diyminisite.com/x.php?18540 Check it out and as I discover more FREE mini-site help I'll add it here! And of course the COMMENT BOX is OPEN!!!!

Lessons learned the hard way or a.k.a. hard headed <---that's me!

I've not had the best of days lately and just when things slack up a little they seem to go from bad to worse. You might notice or might not notice the absence of the ads on this blog. Apparently, for some reason unknown to me, Google has decreed that my click patterns are invalid and after 3 years of using Adsense ads they terminated my account. Naturally I wrote an appeal letter, but it probably won't do any good. Anyway, the main point here is not to degrade adwords or adsense because both of them are fine programs and they have rules just like ANY other advertiser. The difference is that they are a little stricter than others, but they didn't get to be on top by lightening up the rules for a few people. The point here is to ALWAYS not only read the Terms of Service, but to understand them completely. If there is some question about a rule or something you disagree with then move on to somewhere else, because the rules are NOT going to change just because you wish they
