I'm going to tackle and issue again that a lot of people have a problem with and that is TRAFFIC to their site. There are multiple ways to get better traffic to your site, but what about getting some traffic even started? If you have about 30 mins to an hour to spare and would like some traffic(albeit small amounts for free) then you should look into a TRAFFIC EXCHANGE. Ok, for all you seasoned webmasters out there, you can stop the booing an listen up...this one is primarily for the beginners...here we go. A website like a Brick and Mortar is built around reputation, i.e. the more people who know and like your business, the more that will come to it and shop there or whatever. A Traffic exchange is a good way to establish some credibility and move up the food chain that is the internet. All you do is watch an advertisement for 5-20 seconds on average and you earn a preset number of credits that you use to put you website in front of other INTERESTED viewers. Most of these go ...

Here is a safety tip more for the advanced, but newbies listen up... Be very careful about adding other peoples links to your site. i.e. a blogroll, favorites, or whatever... To some people it just doesn't matter if you are giving them free exposure or not and to be fair I probably would want to know why or how my link got on someone else's page too. An easy way to solve this: GET PERMISSION! Shoot them an e-mail, or communicate to them someway or another that you wish to add their "SIMILAR CONTENT" page link to your site. Why would you sell womens clothes and want someone with a golfing site to put their links on your page? (no pun intended on the 'links'). It's just not practical! Let them check out your site and let them make the final decision, and don't get your feelings hurt if they say no. Build a positive relationship with these people and maybe they'll put YOUR link on their page as well and then from there who knows...............WOW!!...

Most will agree that there are a lot more than just 32 flavors when it comes to affiliate/internet marketing, but when it all comes down to it, what do you REALLY get for your money? Let me break it down like this: 1: NOT ALL affiliate marketing is created equally. Because of the way it is handled, it can be as simple as promoting a website, or more complex such as trying to sell someone else's products. i.e. you can be an Amazon affiliate and earn a handful of pocket change for selling their stuff. The list goes on.... 2: The Internet is just like a Brick and Mortar store front with it's variety of products and services for sell, but much like a Storefront you are NOT going to sample all the different brands of bread or pickles. Ok, i'm going to stay off the soap box today and talk about something that looks to be a good prospect and I've noticed a lot of marketers are using this. It's an idea that by itself is fine but in reality is just one part of a bigger picture that is still being painted. I'm talking about Mini-sites. They are just like regular websites, but they are only a few pages and they are SEO (search engine optimized). They have a squeeze page, maybe a product page, and an order/redirect page. They are simple to setup, search engines love them, and you can setup several of them really fast. Ok, i'm going to make this abundantly clear as glass....for those who have not read my previous posts here.
