Go out on the street and ask anyone what motivates them and you will wind up with so many different answers that it might take awhile to sort it all out.
However, the reality of it all is that no matter what you are doing...i.e.competing on an insane island for money, or trotting around the globe, or working a 9 to 5 job, you are all there for a reason.
The main thing, without getting too deep is self preservation.
A homeless person will seek out food, shelter, sustenance. We are no different, we seek out employment to earn money to trade for our basic needs.
But that is NOT enough for us to be complete...to make ourselves into better people and to go beyond everyday survival, we need a few basic things for our mental survival as well...
1. We need to be doing something all the time: A couch potato will fade quickly into nothing because they have nothing to do, but staying active gives us a sense of accomplishment and a reason to seek out the second point!
2. We need to love! Whether we love someone or something we have to share our love in order to be loved back. It paints a complete picture of our heart and changes our whole outward appearance...it's not a mystery...it's just finding that right person , or thing to love you in return that makes all the difference in the world.
3. Which brings be to the 3rd point and that is....HOPE! Yes, hope! We all need it and it the most critical of all the three, because without even the slightest faint spark of hope we are doomed. While some turn to their religious beliefs, others turn to material things, which only offer a fleeting hope. A whiskey bottle, drugs, etc.. will never offer any kind of true hope. I won't get into a whole page about whats right and whats wrong, but lets just say that the old saying about "A Higher power" or a "Power greater than ourselves" is truer than most people know.
There are other reasons and ways to do things, but these are the main points.
If you are down and out about how to make a living right now, just search for "motivational speakers" or something similar to that and read the three points above and make life worth the living! It's the only life you've got!
